The Vandoren mouthpieces are manufactured by the manufacturer with extreme precision and repeatability. In order to give the mouthpieces a warmer sound and optimal intonation behaviour, the inner bore is reworked by Jochen Seggelke with special tools and is given a paraboloid course. In order to improve the response and reduce noise to a minimum, the edges involved are very finely reworked by hand.
Not only for clarinets by S&S, but also for other makes you get a mouthpiece with very uniform and optimised properties. This makes it much easier to find a replacement mouthpiece with the same properties again after some time.
