The Super Action 80 II is the longest existing model (since 1986) from Selmer. Compared to the Mark VII, the action has been somewhat reduced and the ergonomics have been adapted to the Mark VI. It is slimmer and more agile in response. However, the acoustic progress of the Mark VII has been further elaborated by modifying the dimensions of the S-bow and the knee of the instrument, and the return to metal resonators enriches the sound with more overtones. All these improvements also make it an ideal instrument in chamber music or orchestra.
