For twenty years, BLASHAUS has been intensively involved with bass clarinets.
Unfortunately, despite the wonderful sound, the bass clarinet is often covered up in the overall ensemble sound. For this reason, we have developed our own bass clarinet necks in recent years, which are stiffened and have more mass. The continuous S-bow tubes, the precision-calibrated bows and the thicker walls allow for a much better energy flow compared to previous models.

Our bass clarinet necks allow the player to deliver the energy more directly and quickly into the instrument. You can increase the blowing pressure and have a guided playing feeling. The acoustic effect is a sound that is even more present, fatter, more focused and that carries better in the room. With this model, the embouchure angle is as steep as with the original Buffet Prestige model and therefore very comfortable to play sitting down.
