Bb-action for Selmer Privilege bass clarinet
We have developed the solution to the intonation problem of the Selmer Privilege bass clarinet: The B-flat mechanism!
The Selmer Privilege bass clarinet has many positive qualities, which is why it is popular with soloists and now, thanks to the B-flat mechanism, also with orchestral musicians.
BASS CLARINET POSITION LOCK
Stress because of a bent flap or a stripped cork is history with the self-made position lock. It guarantees the same setting every time you plug it together and can be fitted to all makes and models.
BASS CLARINET GIS HOLD-DOWN
We have developed a switchable hold-down, which can be switched on or off with a handle, whether the GIS should be held down or not. Depending on the style of music, a hold-down can be optimal or simply annoying.
The Selmer bass clarinets are equipped with a rigid G# hold-down, the Buffet bass clarinets do not have one and the G# can be opened like on a Bb clarinet.
Today a G sharp hold-down is optimal, tomorrow it is a nuisance, depending on the style of music. For certain scales, a held-down G sharp is very comfortable, but for certain multiphonics, glissandi, etc., as well as Klezmer music, this function is a hindrance.
BASS CLARINET OPTIMISATION BUFFET PRESTIGE
DAS BLASHAUS has developed a package of measures to remedy certain functional weaknesses of Buffet Prestige bass clarinets. The optimisations enable safe handling and, among other things, finger sequences that are compatible on Buffet and Selmer instruments. Depending on your wishes, only individual points can be implemented.
CONTRABASS CLARINET OPTIMISATION FOR SELMER
In close cooperation with the soloist Professor Ernesto Molinari, we have developed a package of measures that significantly optimises functional, acoustic and intonation problems in line with the BLASHAUS Exkulsiv philosophy. Depending on your needs, we can also implement only individual points.
